Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she took flute lessons and the harpsichord over three years. She was able to survive with the stipend she received from her students while working part time jobs. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance when compared with her peers and was contemplating a different path she might follow. Lennox performed flute in the band Dragons Playground. She left the band shortly before their appearance in I.T.V's talent program New Faces. She sang lead for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. This is where she first got to know Dave Stewart with whom she formed her pop group Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo debut record Diva. The album was released in 1993. It was an enormous hit as well as sales and the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo that was released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox chose her favorite soul jazz blues tracks from childhood. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut solo album, and is a sequel to the art installation she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You Go... Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954, in Scotland, is a charitable philanthropist and an activist in the political arena. She also sings. The Tourists had a minor popularity in the latter part of the 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to gain international recognition in the 1980s as the Eurythmics. Lennox began her own solo career when she released her first album Diva in 1992. It was the basis of several hit songs, including"Why" and "Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It features cover versions of such songs as The No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale.
