Jennifer Lopez

JenniferJennifer had always hoped to be a multitasking star. In her youth, she enjoyed a variety of musical styles, including Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue and bachata. She also enjoyed mainstream music like hip-hop, pop and R&B. She loved music but was equally intrigued by the film industry. West Side Story (1961) the musical by Rita Moreno that greatly influenced her and was her most significant influence. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer as well as being entertainer as well as a Catholic schoolgirl, attended 8 years at Holy Family Catholic Middle School located in The Bronx. After a four-year stay in the Bronx, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. When she was at high school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete and was a participant in tennis and track. Her home in the Castle Hill neighbourhood was her residence for the majority of her adult life. After turning 18, Jennifer moved out of her parent's home. At the time, Lopez worked at a law firm while she took dancing gigs at night.
