Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th 1956 at Woodland Hills California. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mom was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. From a young stage of life, McCormick enjoyed singing and dance, and she would frequently put on puppet shows for kids in the community. At the age of six, McCormick older, she was crowned an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked her whether she would like to enter the show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major part in 1964, in the tv spot for Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the main character in The Wind It Up and It breaks, a production at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids who auditioned for the role of the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with the same family as a blended one. The show lasted five seasons. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the show, she almost lost her virginity to her screen brother and co-star Barry Williams. She was 16 years old at the time and he was just 19. We would've had a relationship, said she. The timing, however, wasn't the right time.
